WEATHER REPORT

I've had a number of weather related topics lately. so here goes another one which is related to past posts.

Yesterday , Dec. 4 it was chinooking here. We had a strong steady west wind and a minus 1 C temperature all day. When the sun sets the wind stops. There was no chinook arch but it would have been farther west toward the Rocky mountains.

Today we had 2 cm of snow. Just enough to shovel and tomorrow morning is will be minus 29 C (20 below F). At one time minus 29 C would not have been a problem but at this age I'm staying home.

So there's my weather report and now you can compare it to yours.

  1. In the forties. Sunny. No wind to speak of. What is a chinook arch??? Now I've got something else to read about. The things I learn on blogs.

    1. I have this in a previous blog but it's probably a good idea to look it up.

  2. Yes, I like this. From the beginning with Hiawatha House, one of the thing’s I’ve enjoyed is seeing what’s going on in Red Deer, Alberta. You do a good job of keeping us posted on that. By the way, congrats on stepping up the pace on posting. I’m enjoying it. Lastly, as I’m typing this, it’s 37F (2.7C) in Seattle. Our forecast for the next few days calls for temps right around freezing so right on the edge for possible snow if we get the moisture.

  4. I saw those temperatures on our weather report. I don't like the wild fluctuations in temperature. It is unsettling. We've rain on the way.

  5. It’s 4 and sunny without wind here today. We are headed for a walk and a picnic. I would be home too in that -29, Red.

    1. Snow is not a good idea in Bellingham. Snow above you is fine.
