WHITE STUFF

Well, no surprise. We're getting a major dump of snow. We had 2 - 3 inches by about 4.30 PM. It's been coming down steadily since then. I will shovel again this evening.

The first phots were taken in the day time . The others were taken this evening.

  4. lovely white stuff viewed from the comfort of my computer chair next to a hot radiator. You must have always been used to long, snowy winters Red. Here in the North of England we often get a drop before Christmas but it is only 'wet stuff' and goes straight away. Some years we get no snow at all and few frosts and one year Winter saved it all up and then presented us with a run of very sharp frosts ib April. Played havoc with the garden.

    1. You don't get any real winter. I would prefer snow to rain and drizzle.

    1. I don't like rain and mist in winter. It's very uncomfortable.

  8. Oh boy! I always remember that there was a 50/50 chance of snow on the ground by Halloween there. Ugh! Ruined many a great costume for trick-or-treating because a parka had to be worn over top. Stay warm, stay safe!

  9. I saw the snow storm on the upper regions of our weather man's map as he was explaining the rain forecast for the rest of the week. I thought about those of you up north getting that snow and how I wasn't anywhere near ready for it myself.

  10. Wow! Remember your post of Sunday, October 15, 2023, “Beautiful Fall Day”? And remember my comment on that post … “It sure looks like it won’t be too long until the snow flies in Red Deer.” I’m feeling especially good about my prognostication! 😊 (That last word was carefully chosen just for you, dear fellow teacher. 😊)
